Course Description:

This course explores how media change along with the development of digital information technology. The media evolution, convergence, and its effects in the society are studied.

 

Text book:      Media Now, Understanding Media, Culture, and Technology, 4th Edition,

                        Straubhaar and LaRose

 

Grading:          Homeworks/papers    30%

                        Mid term I                    30%

                        Final                             40%

 

                        Late homeworks/papers  are penalized 10%/day

 

Two research papers will be required. Students will be required to present the last paper in the class. All research paper should be delivered electronically. Late papers will not be accepted.
